NPOV[edit]

I added an NPOV tag - don't get me wrong, I'm a Met's fan and I have no problem with this article, but a few lines require changing:

  • "Brooklyn was buzzing with excitement."
  • "To top it all off, the Cyclones were a good team."
  • "Since then, the Cyclones have continually sold out KeySpan Park and remain a top tourist attraction."

If nothing else, please provide some evidence to these claims. Thanks! Nrbelex (talk) 18:26, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please see if my changes are any better. Thanks. Nelson Ricardo 21:16, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)
Yea and I did a little more too so I removed the tag. Thanks for the speedy reply! Nrbelex (talk) 00:17, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Roster[edit]

Does anyone have a roster that could be added to this article? Ohyeahmormons 12:38, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed[edit]

Lots of clean-up needed here: First few paragraphs involving history seem to contain overlapping and contradicting information on the team's inception in NY and transition from Blue Jays organization. Subsequent passages are studded with peacock phrasing, apparent original research, and trivia (hot dog races). JNW (talk) 18:27, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've done a lot to organize the article into logical sections instead of just one. I tried to sort out the move to NY based on what information was already in the article; it may still need some clarification. Many references are needed. I trimed down the "trivia" about hot dog races and mascots. Since we are talking about minor league baseball, where family fun and entertainment is just as important as the game itself, I think it deserves to stay. Someone who knows more about the team could help to fill in historical gaps. Particular attention is needed for info about the team before its move to Brooklyn. -NatureBoyMD (talk) 23:48, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Retired number 17[edit]

The list of retired numbers could be updated to include Keith Hernandez's 17. The stadium already includes it on a mural depicting the Mets' retired number. I have a Google Photos picture but it's blacklisted. I won't make the edit because I have seen no support. That whole section needs a citation, apparently.
