What Would Brian Boitano Do?[edit]

Does anyone think more should be added with regard to that song? Figure skating fans might not like it, but probably the majority of the people who know his name know it from South Park.

If there's something else worth telling about the song I think it should be added, we should provide information not try keeping figure skating or south park fans happy, right?

but Brian Boitano has nothing to do with Southpark... Way before Southpark was a thought, Leon from Roseanne (yes, the homosexual character if you must know) used the expression "what in the name of Brian Boitano?" and I don;t see that mentioned. I mean, Larry King has a cameo in the Ghostbusters movie; i don't think that merits taking up 20% of his page - AK

Angular momentum[edit]

I've removed this from the second paragraph:

That the arm is raised (and not in a tightly tucked position) dramatically increases a jumper's moment of inertia, thereby requiring the skater to exert greater angular momentum to achieve rotation, which in turn makes the 'Tano triple far more difficult than a normal triple jump.

The skater's moment of inertia about the relevant rotation axis might be increased or decreased, depending on the exact placement of the raised arm; if it is, indeed, directly above the skater's head, you would expect the latter. I'm going to assume that no one has actually measured the change in the moment of inertia, so it's just speculation. Melchoir 08:38, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had added a "fact" tag to this. The tag was recently removed and replaced with a source. I have recently undone this revision. A mirror of an old version of the What Would Brian Boitano Do? article on Wikipedia, in which this fact was also unsourced, is not a valid source in my opinion. The source in question is [3]. Source for him coming out[edit]

Can someone please add a cite for him "coming out being gay" which was recently added to the personal life section? I think that's iffy

I just heard about his "coming out" for the Olympic thing, but he wasn't "in" before that was he? I had thought he was openly gay before that. DavidFarmbrough (talk) 03:07, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
