Date of birth[edit]

The existing source for June 16 is this one which says June 16 "was Gobright’s 27th birthday." But that was 2016. User:Yosemiter changed this to 1988 with the edit summary "something is odd in that R&I source. Or he lied about his age on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/brad.gobright/about?section=contact-info&lst=3225952%3A1002994746%3A1575081866 (Note: he is a friend of a friend, so not sure how visible that is to everyone else)". The problem is that yes, those details are not visible. I don't see any particular problem with using Facebook as a source. But I guess there are many sources that report him as being 31 when he died. Martinevans123 (talk) 09:38, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Martinevans123: I also found this podcast from March 2019 that states he was 30 at the time, which would have made him 31 now. Along with all the other reports of him being 31, I would say the 27th birthday one is the odd one out. I only mention the Facebook one because folks did wish him happy 30ths in 2018 and it is in basic info section. Yosemiter (talk) 15:14, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like rockandice.com just got that wrong, then. Let's hope they at least got the day right, as I can find no other "RS" source for that. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:17, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Martinevans123: When his own mother posts on his profile for his birthday on June 16, I think we can say WP:PRIMARYNOTBAD here. Yosemiter (talk) 15:31, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we probably could say that. It seems you are a little more familiar with Brad Gobright's Facebook page than am I. Looks like rockandice.com just got that wrong, then. Perhaps we should remove that article as a source. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:28, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Primary sources?[edit]

This edit added the Template:Primary sources at the top of the article. Which of the existing 10 sources are considered "primary"? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:39, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This has also been discussed on that editor's User talk page with an IP editor who also did not think the tag is justified. I don't think it is appropriate either, so I have removed it. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:35, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
