Professional or amateur?[edit]

I'm seeing a bit of back and forth with edits adding and then deleting amateur or professional status of the team. I thought a place to debate this might be a good idea instead of the back and forth editing.

My understanding is the Boston teams and others joining the new NARFL competition are becoming "fully professiona" according to all the news I've read about the new league. I'm not sure what kind of pay that entitles, but when you think of the Major League Soccer base salaries were pretty meager in its beginnings as fully professional organization as well.

Same could be said of the PRO and Major League Rugby competitions.

What are your thoughts? IrishRhino19 (talk) 13:11, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I had previously contributed to this article and have twice reverted the description to read professional instead of semi-professional. I also opened a discussion on the IP talk page that made the change. I didn't receive an answer there but the third time it was edited in with an explanation. Based on the extended information provided, I am satisfied it is indeed professional. Nearlyevil665 (talk) 17:21, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
