Unrealistic statement about arrival in the US[edit]

The following statement: "His parents, both Ukrainian Greek Catholics had come to New York from the Lviv region in the early 1950s " is highly questionable, not to say irrealistic. In the early 1950s, Stalin was ruling the USSR, war was raging in Korea, no Soviet citizen was allowed to emigrate to the US. The statement just denies reality. If Gudziak's parents came to New York at that time, it was not from Soviet Union. They might be from Lviv, alright, but they should have arrived in the US from another country. "Almost no emigration occurred from the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s, except for ethnic Armenians returning to Armenia." [1] If a couple managed to defect, leaving from Lviv, in the soviet Ukraine, crossing several communist countries in order to reach the Western world, then their story would have already been adapted by Hollywwod. Locate Lviv on a map of East Europe in the 1950s...

As a consequence, I added the tag [verification needed]
