Untitled[edit]

Actually, in Russian his last name sounds more like Moiseyev, not Moiseev. 92.39.237.54 (talk) 00:37, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sexual orientation[edit]

In 2010, in a video interview to the Russian TV channel TNT, Moiseev said what can be translated as the following: "As a person who believes in something, I think it's an immense sin. I took the sin upon myself not because I'm gay but because I have lied to people for many years. Lied about me being gay. And they believed me. And that's bad".

The part about homosexuality starts at about 6:00 within the video. --Rose (talk) 03:22, 23 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled (request for sourcing of prior content)[edit]

"After his graduation Moiseev was expelled from Minsk because of his very open, for that time, ways of self-expression" What does it mean that he was evicted from Minsk, where, how and why? And in general, where does this information come from and what is it based on at all (unsubstantiated allegations are not considered), and what is the basis for the information that he was allegedly expelled from the Komsomol, and for what expelled, they don’t say anything in the article, and I didn’t find anything like that on Russian Wikipedia, and the article doesn’t say that he is gay and, in general, one of the first gay people in Russia to recognize himself, and in general one of the most famous gay activists in Russia Цйфыву (talk) 17:20, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Цйфыву, thank you for mentioning content not found on the Russian WP. This page in the English WP has an External link to a biography dated 2004 from the bilingual (RU/EN) website www.gay.ru. Is it a reliable source? Your input is appreciated. -- Deborahjay (talk) 14:12, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Single source[edit]

At present this bio page has only a single inline reference (at the end, after date of death), from the Russian-language website ria.ru based on RIA Novosti. With the artist's recent death, perhaps there will be obituaries from equally reliable or better sources. These could be added as inline references to existing content or further expand the page with details. Was the page originally translated from another WP project? It was created on 13 November 2006; the edit summary has no indication of content source. -- Deborahjay (talk) 14:01, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
