Unrelated sections?[edit]

Comment: I don't see the relation of the sections added in this article. I do hope somebody could relate it.
Suggestion: There are 2 spelling versions of this Cambodian festival, please see Cambodia article and Public holidays in Cambodia. I do hope we could change the spelling of this article to the widely used spelling which is Bonn Om Teuk. Fddfred talk 06:39, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. I've been working to update and correct Public Holidays in Cambodia and would like to move this page to the correct name as well. Paxse 17:11, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Shouldn't it be Bon Om Tuk? This is the most common romanization as well as being close to Cambodian/Khmer romanization tables. Also there use to be Khmer text on this page, but the person who edited it out never though to restore it to the old version with the Khmer translation. I think there should be two articles, one for the water festival in Phnom Penh which is now it's own spectacle and tourist attraction (not just from abroad but national tourists). And also a second article for the holiday that is celebrated throughout the country and the traditions that go along with it. Someone added information regarding the tragic incident a few days ago, by saying the "festival was the site of" well, this is an article about the holiday or the festival celebrations in Phnom Penh? --Dara (talk) 10:12, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bon Om Tuk translate to "Boat Rowing Festival" which is a boat festival along the river near the Royal Palace. But even then, there is more to it than just boat rowing, Sampeah Preah Khe (http://www.norodomsihamoni.org/news.php?lan=E&year=2009&month=11&day=2&seq=1) and Loy Pratip (http://jinja.apsara.org/2007/11/loy-pratip-2007/) for example. And since the holiday is based on the lunar calendar, it is not always on the same date, but mostly occurs in the month of November. --Dara (talk) 10:35, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled 2019 topic[edit]

Large portions of the article don’t make sense. It would seem an automated translator has been used and the result is illegible in English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.150.80.28 (talk) 14:46, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dates in 2023 don’t match the description in the text[edit]

The dates in this year 2023 are given as 26–28 November, but in the text, I read "late October or early November." What am I missing?

Maybe 2023 is an exception, because of an added month or something, but I’d say that would still be worth adding, no?Geke (talk) 18:53, 24 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
