Opening heading[edit]

This article said the bridge was built in 1825, as per the external link, but the Falklands weren't settled by the British at that time, the Falklands Island Company wasn't founded until 1851 and the oldest suspension bridges mentioned in the suspension bridge article date from 1826. According to History of the Falkland Islands, the Government of Argentina was in 1825 the only administrator of the islands' industry; maybe they constructed the bridge. OneEuropeanHeart 01:53, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- I have a concern that "one of the most southerly suspension bridges in the world", which appears twice in the article, is word-for-word identical to the source. Please reword it.
- Hooks are all short enough
- ALT2 is interesting, ALT1 is probably interesting. ALT0 I've struck, both because it's not interesting and because it's too similar to the quote above.
- QPQ is present. AGF that the reviewer will follow up once the concern is addressed.
- I've nominated the file for deletion. It's quite possibly going to be kept, but I want additional eyes on it. The explanation can be found at the deletion nomination page.
- Image otherwise meets the criteria (in use in the article, shows well at 160px)
- because of the wording issue above. AGF that there aren't other, similar issues in the other offline sources, but please double check and make sure there aren't.

Thanks Epicgenius, I've fixed this in the article. I think "one of the most southerly suspension bridges in the world" is a sufficiently common turn of phrase to be uncopyrightable but I've now switched it out for the less elegant "southernmost" - Dumelow (talk) 18:06, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
