Zuria[edit]

We can't justify to write the Bask version of her name in the introduction for two reasons. 1/ Zuria is not her name, but only a way to call her in Bask, together with Blanka 2/ She is not known in English as Zuria. In the English Wikipedia (like in others) it is usual to write the English version of an historical name and the right foreign name, when it is different and which is the real name of the person. Zuria is not her real name which is Blanche (or probably Blanque in Picard). You can add in a special notice, that the Basks called her Zuria, but it cannot appear in the introduction. The name the subject is known by in the country/region where she was queen is definitely a "right foreign name". The Basques are not a random people. They were her subjects. Should there be no French name versions in the introductions of Catherine de' Medici, Maria Theresa of Spain, Ingeborg of Denmark, and half a dozen other non-French queens of France? Nothing to do. For instance Catherine (de Medicis) is her French and Catherine (de Medici), her English names and they appear as so respectively in the French and English wikipedias together with her name of birth as so (Caterina (de Medici) in Italian), because she was probably born Caterina (or called Caterina where she was born), same thing for Marie-Thérèse (d'Autriche) in French and her real name of birth (espagnol : María Teresa (de Austria)). Blanche was born Blanche and was not born Zuria, which represents a translation from French (blanche "white") or Spanish (blanca "white") to Bask (zuri- "white").Nortmannus (talk) 22:58, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
With all due respect, you are speaking nonsense. Maria Theresa was not known as Marie-Thérèse from birth but from marriage, and Blanche was not known as Zuria/Blanka from birth but from marriage. It is absolutely the same. I wonder what might be clouding your vision here. Either way, stop reverting without consensus. Seek a third opinion if you will.
