Final episode special effects?[edit]

I've requested a citation for the "having two Rowan Atkinsons blew the budget" thing. This sort of simple video effect was fairly commonplace on UK sitcoms from the late 70s onwards, and I find it difficult to believe it was at all expensive. Markhw42 17:33, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't found a source for where that information came from, so I've removed it. By the way, you only have to add a "fact" template after a suspect piece of information, rather than banner the whole article as needing further referencing. Bob talk 18:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Black Adder" not "Blackadder"[edit]

Sure looks like two words on the title screen. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smratguy (talkcontribs) 12:54, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blackadder is his name, which incidentally, is a name which still exists in British Peerage.86.162.37.228 (talk) 21:08, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's true that it's written like that on the title screen (as the note says), but most other sources including the BBC refer to it as one word, so that was the reasoning behind the article being there. Bob talk 22:06, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Historical Period?[edit]

I changed the sentence saying the show was set during the English Regency to say that it was set during the Georgian Era. I'm not sure what it should really be though, since many sources describe Prince George as "Prince Regent," placing the show in the Regency era, but Samuel Johnson also appears in the season, and he died many years before the begining of Price George's regency. "Georgian Era" should be a safe description but the date of the show is obviously not a clear-cut matter.
