Murder section[edit]

This needs to be rewritten - as it stands it sounds like Miller was married to Lancaster and she was cheating on him with Carter when the source seems to say that Lancaster and Miller were both married to other people at the time (and perhaps Cater as well, he was noted as a bigamist sometime before this marriage offer.) The one source cited does not support that Carter and Miller were having an affair before the marriage offer. Rmhermen (talk) 02:05, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the marital statuses of both Lancaster and Miller need to be clarified, but I have been having trouble finding sources. I know Miller was married but seperated when she met Lancaster in 1927, but whether she was married, divorced or widowed by 1932 I have no idea. Lancaster's wife (whose name I haven't even been able to find) apparently came to America to be with him in 1928, but it didn't work out and she moved back to England. So while it is true that both were (or had been) married to other people, they'd been living together—and absent their respective spouses—for approximately four years by the time of Clarke's death. re-written. Please note that Hayden is both a male name in America and a female name abroad, which caused some comfusion in my reading. I also did not understand why there was more than one suicide note. I have added details from the referenced source. 207.237.232.74 (talk) 05:35, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chubbie Miller[edit]

Why does "Chubbie Miller" redirect to this site? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.125.19.104 (talk) 03:11, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because no-one's started a seperate article on her yet. FiggyBee (talk) 03:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FInal Flight[edit]

Question: if searches for his crashed plane were unsuccessful, how can it be confirmed after how many days Lancaster died?

Overall, I've got to say that this is a very poorly summarized article. How the heck did this make it onto front page? 207.237.232.74 (talk) 05:39, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New reference published: "Lost Pilots"[edit]

In 2018, a new work on Lancaster and Miller was published by Macmillan: "The Lost Pilots: The Spectacular Rise and Scandalous Fall of Aviation's Golden Couple" by Corey Mead. I suggest this book would add more to this entry. 173.49.128.64 (talk) 19:28, 7 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
