Beulah Louise Henry caught my interest when I was learning about Thomas Edison. I found that Henry was mentioned as Edison’s history counterpart and she was dubbed “Lady Edison” because of her extensive list of inventions. I was very happy when I saw she was included in WikiProject Women’s history, but also disappointed she was given the ‘low’ priority. Women today are still underrepresented in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields. That is why it is amazing to think that Henry found success as an inventor during her time period. The fact that she was able to defy societal expectations during the early 1900s, a time when most women were tending to their husbands, shows massive strength of character. So if her ‘low’ priority isn’t reconsidered, maybe some more information can be added to her Wikipedia page. Despite her many achievements, the total word count for Henry’s Wikipedia page amounts to a select 283 words. In contrast, Thomas Edison’s Wikipedia page consists of almost exactly seven thousand words. Quite a difference for two people linked together in history. Instead of just including a partial list of her achievements, a full one could be added along with the 49 patents she was awarded. Henry was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of fame in 2006, thirty years after her death. It is no doubt she was an important part of history, and it would be fulfilling to see her Wikipedia page reflect more on this fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.65.218.58 (talk) 18:38, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Birth[edit]
