Alumni section needs work[edit]

Actually, more than that needs work, but anyway. I'm not sure I've heard of John Roderick. I've heard of Jack Roderick, but obviously that's two different people. How about Scotty Gomez or Sean Parnell or Kikkan Randall? Going back far enough, Ted Field attended East during a number of the years that his trust fund was keeping the Anchorage Daily News afloat, though he didn't graduate.RadioKAOS (talk) 19:56, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Susan Lindauer may have also attended East, though I've yet to confirm that. Her brother attended there, so I'm making an assumption here more than anything else. RadioKAOS  – Talk to me, Billy 02:56, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it's mentioned in her article, and referenced. The website link found in the reference is dead, but the article can still be accessed through NewsBank. RadioKAOS  – Talk to me, Billy 02:58, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Made two changes. Tagged John Roderick as {{failed verification}}. The website cited appears to link to a podcast of some sort. If it's mentioned on that podcast, that needs to be clarified in the reference, because it's not mentioned on the webpage itself, and that's where the URL actually goes to. Also, removed mention of Sean Parnell as the tenth governor. It amounts to a Wikipedia invention to take one statement made on one webpage as gospel, when other sources exist that contradict the order of Alaska governors presented on here. Another one would be Bryan Hitt. I had heard as far back as 1990, when he was still fairly new as REO Speedwagon's drummer, that he was an East graduate. His official website bio says he graduated from East in 1972. RadioKAOS / Talk to me, Billy / Transmissions 17:03, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
