Belinda? Bake a Cake Instead?[edit]

I remember Bozo the Clown doing a rendition of this. I believe Belinda was the girl making the batter. And she eventually gave up and made a cake instead. But I can't find anything on the web about cakes, Bozo the Clown, and Belinda.--SportWagon (talk) 21:56, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Versions displayed here[edit]

Two problems with this article are conspicuous. First, as this verse's original version was called "Betty Botta," the article ought to retain that name, regardless of newer variations on it. I'm considering so renaming it. Second, most of those variations displayed here don't merit inclusion. Most seem to be elsewhere unpublished, at least commercially; one is merely found on a YouTube video; and nearly all their authors, when listed, have no public recognition. Hence, they fail the notability guidelines on WP, which is not a vanity publisher. Further, most are little changed from the original, and some don't even scan; most amount simply to clumsier versions of their rather clever source. In short, they've sneaked into WP by an obscure passageway, as indeed their hodgepodge of titles ("Oscheff Fia's short version," "A long version," "Another version [from the UK]") suggests. Unless some other WP editor offers a sound basis to object, I shall remove those that don't suit. Mucketymuck (talk) 09:18, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
