  • Comment: It's a catchy hook, but it'd need some kind of inline attribution. I opposed the first hook you mentioned, but the second is clearly a nickname, and the third is verifiable. How about: theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 19:50, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • ALT0a: ... that, according to one referee, not even God could have prevented the battle of Omagh?
But the quote isn't by the referee... How about: Gaois (talk) 20:19, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ALT0b: ... that one witness claimed that not even God could have prevented the Battle of Omagh?
      works for me! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 20:53, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Struck out the original submission to avoid confusion. Gaois (talk) 21:50, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: None required.
Overall: Nominator is QPQ exempt. Earwig isn't happy with the large quote but it is a direct ruling from the CDC so i don't think rewording it is ideal (as an aside, I now know how non-Americans feel when there's all these overly American hooks because I'm seeing the NFL, the CDC, calling it the Battle of Omagh, and none of these are what I expect them to be and there's all these additional terms I'm unfamiliar with, I think the turnabout is fair play here, and it is all properly explained in the article itself). The hook is not an exact quote, but it does capture the idea of what was being said and is an interesting wording. ALT0b is approved, as the others have been struck. - Aoidh (talk) 21:39, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

confusing[edit]

Um, NFL game?? Looks & reads like soccer to me. I have no idea what this is about; rather provincial. 2601:346:1180:4320:404B:6D85:44A:DFDF (talk) 14:34, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
