Does this battle even exist, and is if it does, is it a defeat or victory?

Mormant or Mormans[edit]

So what is it? French Wiki calls it the Battle of Mormant. It was fought in Mormant. I think this was a typo.

  • COMMENT: The Russians were commanded not by Petr Alekseyevich Palen, but by his son. REPLY: You are correct. It has been changed to Pyotr Petrovich Palen, the son.
  • COMMENT: French Wiki calls it the Battle of Mormant. It was fought in Mormant. I think this was a typo. REPLY: You are correct. The name has since been changed from Mormans to Mormant.
