Requested move[edit]

I think this article should be titled "Barnes & Barnes", as it is the most common usage, rather than "Barnes and Barnes". I wanted to get some reactions before I put it throught to be moved. Rhindle The Red 13:45, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pleae note that ampersands can interfere with article editing, for example the edit top script will try to edit Barnes after this move. Technically, it might be a bad idea, but I don't feel strongly enough to oppose it myself. Just making sure you're aware of the consequences... -- nae'blis 20:40, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube links[edit]

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. If you intended to write an article about it, too late. I beat you to the punch. I felt it was worth an article, as it is a rather popular song. Fair use rationale for Image:Barnes and barnes.png[edit]

Image:Barnes and barnes.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Is "processed" the proper term?[edit]

The article refers to the chipmunk-like voices to procesing..when in reality they simply slowed thier tempo to half rate and doubled the speed the tape played back at...a sometimes tricky task. If you take the intro and play it back at half-speed, you should hear what I'm talking about. Dewdude (talk) 02:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bill?[edit]

The article reads: " Billy Mumy was a huge fan of the show and convinced Bill to "pick a couple of songs and do them right". (emphasis mine).

Assuming it does not mean he convinced himself, I assume this Bill is Bill Paxton, who is not mentioned in the article until later, and thus confusing. Aapold (talk) 22:54, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, someone (whoever 104.34.200.200 is) did not proofread. It makes no sense. Maybe they meant that Dr. Demonto convinced Bill Mumy. I can find no articles that makes any inferences like that. One interview Dr. Demento says the tape showed up only after he'd already played the Vomit Song. I suggest that and convinced Bill to "pick a couple of songs and do them right" be deleted.--Meve Stills (talk) 14:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
