Etnedal[edit]

The place name Etnedal in the Asbjørnsen & Moe version of the Per Gynt tales i not identical to the location of than name i Valdres. It is an oral variety of Atnadalen, the valley of the Atna river between the mountains og Rondane and the Østerdalen (Eastern Valley). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.74.21.233 (talk) 16:45, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Description[edit]

According to this article, the bøyg is "a gnome-like creature ... a great troll ... commonly characterized as a giant, slimy serpent" This is like saying a creature is very much like a horse: it is a large hawk looking like a blue octopus with thick tentacles. In other words, the description is totally incoherent. If anyone editing here reads Norsk, please correct the description based on the sources. Freederick (talk) 21:25, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
