I'm requesting a source that Armenia militarily controls NK. VartanM (talk) 19:17, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here: Armenia supports ethnic Armenian secessionists in Nagorno-Karabakh and since the early 1990s has militarily occupied 16% of Azerbaijan CIA - The World Factbook -- Azerbaijan. Grandmaster (talk) 12:47, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Another one, report of David Atkinson to PACE:
According to the information given to me, Armenians from Armenia had participated in the armed fighting over the Nagorno-Karabakh region besides local Armenians from within Azerbaijan. Today, Armenia has soldiers stationed in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and the surrounding districts, people in the region have passports of Armenia, and the Armenian government transfers large budgetary resources to this area. [1]
This should be enough. Grandmaster (talk) 12:53, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Grandmaster. The requested by Vartan info was added to the article. --Ehud (talk) 19:04, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the quotes, the added no substance to the article. The first one was from a reporter, which is hardly reliable, CIA source was kept. VartanM (talk) 01:47, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How come PACE rapporteur is not reliable? Grandmaster (talk) 06:24, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge[edit]

I believe that everything in this article is already covered in Nagorno-Karabakh_Republic#Administrative_divisions. Feel free to enhance that section if it is lacking. There is no need for a separate article for this topic. Pocopocopocopoco (talk) 16:56, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not only is it handled there, but it's handled better. --Golbez (talk) 21:43, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think this one can be further improved. It definitely needs work, so let's get it improved. Grandmaster (talk) 06:20, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Improved with that? What can be here that isn't handled in one of many other articles? Why not have "Azerbaijani administrative divisions of Lower Karabakh", "Azerbaijani administrative divisions along the Caspian Sea", "Azerbaijani administrative divisions in Nachichevan"? --Golbez (talk) 17:52, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, there is always room for improvement. The article has just been created, give editors some time to put it together. Parishan (talk) 09:56, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pocopocopocopoco and Golbez, "NKR" is not recognized, hence the administrative divisions of it are not formal either. Atabek (talk) 10:11, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article is about the Azerbaijani divisions in the region of Nagorno-Karabakh, surely you agree that Azerbaijan exists and is not unrecognized or illegal. --Golbez (talk) 17:52, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've AFD'd this, I see no redeeming qualities in such a fork. . --Golbez (talk) 17:58, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article actually says about administrative division of territory of former Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast. I think, this information should be merged to Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, Nagorno-Karabakh (why does article contains word Nagorno-Karabakh?) or Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan. Dinamik (talk) 17:10, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Too many merge tags, I think, and too many contentious articles wanting possession of the merged content. I'd leave this article for now, but duplicate some of its content into those other articles. Once things settle, in a future date, this article could then maybe be deleted if all of its content is contained within other articles. Meowy 20:52, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We can find all the information from this article in the article Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast. What do we wait for? Dinamik (talk) 22:08, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose to that. "Azerbaijani divisions" is a wishful thinking by the Azerbaijani government that has nothing to do with reality. With the same success they could divide the Moon or Mars into "Azerbaijani divisions" as well. Regards. Remove the tag. Capasitor (talk) 05:23, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The most logical place for the content of this article would be in the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast. As Grandmaster would never admit that he made a mistake, look forward in arguing with him for the next 3-4 months. VartanM (talk) 01:33, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge ? It's nonsence. Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast is historical administrative unit and the article is considered as a topic that has received significant coverage in reliable sources. Takabeg (talk) 23:57, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But Azerbaijani administrative divisions of Nagorno-Karabakh and Administrative divisions of Azerbaijan can be merged. We can find similar situation in the article Districts of Cyprus. Takabeg (talk) 14:40, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
