Class name[edit]

Angelgreat (talk · contribs) considers these ships a separate class but has not provided a source to back up his assertion. I believe they are still R- class ships. Comments? Lyndaship (talk) 14:21, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Well, Azamara considers the ships in it's fleet Azamara class because they are sister ships. Also, the other sister ships are owned by Oceania Cruises, which considers the vessels in it's fleet Regatta class. Obviously, no rival cruise lines would share the R-Class name, so they would use the sub-class name to differentate them. Also, they have the class name listed on their websites. Provide a link then cos at their our ships page they don't give a class name at all Lyndaship (talk) 14:46, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
True, but it can be assumed since they all have Azamara in their name. Angelgreat (talk) 15:16, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This is now a stalemate and there are two solutions to this:

1. Consider the Regetta and Azamara classes as separate classes 2. Consider them as Subclasses of the R-Class. There's no other compromise that I can think of. Angelgreat (talk) 16:46, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have provided no source that anyone considers them Azamara class ships. Your assertion that we can ASSUME that they can be so identified as they all have Azamara in their name is just your opinion. The page should be deleted Lyndaship (talk) 07:29, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, they are sister ships and have had major renovations. Interiorwise, the Azamara and Regatta classes have had changes since Renaissance Cruises shut down since 2001. If Azamara had a different ship, then maybe that would be classified differently, but since Azamara Cruises has 3 (soon to be four) R-class vessel, they should be considered Azamara class vessels to differentiate them from the Regatta class or consider the Azamara and Regatta classes Subclasses of the R-class. Also, Oceania Cruises didn't consider the R-Class vessels in jt's fleet as the Regetta class until the Oceania class was added, so it's possible for something similar to happen to Azamara if they ever decide to expand. Produce a source which says anyone calls them the Azamara class Lyndaship (talk) 13:23, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect you're not reading the posts above are you? I can't find a source, so you can accept the compromise or not. Too much time has been wasted on this talk. Angelgreat (talk) 15:38, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
