Speedy Deletion[edit]

I've declined a speedy deletion tag placed on this article on the basis that the two awards (I've confirmed the subject received them) seem sufficiently significant as to provide enough notability to make the article ineligible for speedy deletion. If someone still thinks the article needs to be deleted, I recommend the PROD procedure to start with. Accounting4Taste:talk 04:36, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Importance[edit]

I'm upgrading the importance of this article from mid to high. As the most recent winner of the Wilder Medal for lasting contribution to children's literature, I'm naming his one of the most important author's in this field. --ErinHowarth (talk) 06:57, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Updating Page[edit]

I've been reading about Ashley Bryan. It seems like this page could use an update. It's possible some of the topics need expanding and references linked more closely to the original articles. The reference to having 100 birds in the home, for example, is in Donna Gold's "Ashley Bryan's World" (Published in American Visions. Dec97/Jan98, Vol 12 (6), 31). Does anyone have any additional information?--SojoQ (talk) 13:46, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Address of Ashley Bryan Center[edit]

Is the inclusion of the Ashley Bryan Center's address considered self-promotion? Should the address be removed but add an external link to the center itself? http://ashleybryancenter.org/ Thanks for any feedback. --SojoQ (talk) 17:24, 9 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Headings[edit]

The number of headings seems a little overboard. I think some of these could be combined and/or turned into subheadings. ElleWidogast (talk) 00:16, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List of Works and Awards[edit]

I'm adding more of Bryan's children's books in publication order with their years. I'm also combining awards and honors into a single list. While I think the list of children's books is fairly complete, I an uncertain how many other works have won awards but have not been listed. ElleWidogast (talk) 03:12, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing[edit]

I had added a ref improve tag in response to this article's nomination at WP:ITNC as I thought it easier and less disruptive than carpet bombing the article with CN tags. However apparently there was an objection so I have added the CN tags as requested to those areas that will require a citation before this could be seriously considered for posting on the main page. P.S. The nomination at ITNC is unfortunately now stale as the oldest RD on the main page postdates this nomination. If there is a sense that the CN tags are overkill I am fine with reverting them as long as the ref improve tag is restored to the top of the article. My general rule of thumb when reviewing ITN nominations is to just orange tag nominated articles where more than a relatively small number of CN tags would be required. -Ad Orientem (talk) 03:19, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently, they no longer post RDs in chronological order. -Ad Orientem (talk) 03:41, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Article is now fully referenced, and I have marked the nomination as ready at ITNC. -Ad Orientem (talk) 14:28, 10 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
