Fairfield's main harbor? Dubious.[edit]

The article states:

Ash Creek has served as Fairfield's main harbor since the founding of the town in 1639.

Both Southport Harbor and Black Rock Harbor were larger and better harbors in Fairfield, until the Black Rock neighborhood was incorporated into Bridgeport in the late 19th century, Southport Harbor was partially filled in to create the Fairfield Country Club in the early 20th century, and the Ash Creek Marina was developed in the 1970s. Southport Harbor remains larger than the Ash Creek Marina, though it has fewer piers and so likely has fewer boat slips. Tfdavisatsnetnet (talk) 12:33, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, an official Fairfield Town document makes this claim, which gives it some credence. Still, it seems dubious for the reasons I gave above. Tfdavisatsnetnet (talk) 03:05, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
