Revolution names and dates[edit]

In Hungary there was a liberal democratic revolution on 31 October 1918. The Monarchy was abolished, republic was declared, with prime minister Count Mihály Károlyi. Later on there was a bolshevik takover on 21th March 1919, due to the weakness of the democratic government, the hesitation of Károlyi, lamely facing the advancing Roumanian army marching towards Budapest. In October there was no Bolshevik movement, the bolshevik leaders (Béla Kun and Co.) were put in jail soon (and released only on 21th March 1919). rgrds. Akela3 18:43, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
