Copyright[edit]

Surely quoting the poem in full is a copyright violation?

I've removed it and substituted a link to a site which has the poem and permission to use it Hypnopomp 11:16, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Summary[edit]

Djp27 15:43, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Summarizing this poem can hardly be considered correct or helpful because it reduces the poem to a mere story and completely degrades its impact. I think it should be removed.[reply]

Disagree. Even in a poem commentary, you'd give a summary on what it's overtly about before analyzing its details. Besides, if a reader wants the nuances (which the articles does delve into), he could read an analysis or the actual poem. A summary is useful because this is wikipedia. What it says overtly, and what it's about are both mentioned, and that's fine. It's not here to present it in a way that is most pretty or impactful. -RoSeeker 09:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Metaphorical Meaning[edit]

This section really needs to have a citation added or be removed. Since a poem (especially one this vague) can be interpreted in a number of ways, it seems like this is really narrowing the scope of what the poem means and reducing it to just one meaning. If there are no objections, I'm going to remove it.

Lucas' Adaptation[edit]

Is it possible to find the adaptation of the poem by George Lucas these days without enlisting to USC? --77.232.1.171 (talk) 11:59, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
