"like his maternal great-grandfather"[edit]

Outside of grammatical and stylistic crime, this entire paragraph consists/consisted of speculative pop-psychology: a similarity with a great-grandfather the subject has never spoken to nor talked about with his (distant) parents. Many ex-soldiers show similar risk-taking behaviour, they are over-represented among the homeless and prison populations, etc: the subject may or may not suffer the psychological fallout from his combat experience, or have the type of personality drawn to military service in the first place --- the family ties are beyond speculative.77.99.246.115 (talk) 10:14, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
