Controversial article[edit]

"An alternative version of Anthony Batts' history as a police officer and administrator is documented in 2009 and 2011 articles in the Long Beach Beachcomber." Why San Jose Spurned Ex LB Police Chief Batts

this was removed from the article. per BLP guidelines, we need to confirm this is as an accurate story in a reliable source, maybe showing other news sources reporting it. then, we need to summarize the article and not just say "alternate version" which is like a teaser.
