I have taken the following passage out, until it can be reworded to reflect NPOV Fairness of tone:

Since the preludes are all written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, and not Frank Herbert himself, there is a debate weither this should be considered canon or not.

The issue of canonicity is irrelevant in presenting the facts of the life of this character and by "mentioning" the debate already implies that some of it should not be canon. I suggest that this article be re-written as a bio (in line with other characters of Dune) and just cite the sources. Let the fans decide whether to decide whether to accept the sources as canon or not.

Bit late on the scene but I agree with User:Gryphon Hall in that the article is suffering from lack of citations, and is currently prequel-heavy. I added in a reference from the Dune Encyclopedia just now (which is also arguably 'non-canon') but the point is as Gryphon Hall says: let fans decide, and let's just ensure the article is well sourced from all of the available material. Of course the problem is that Anirul is referenced about twice in the original series, so there's not a lot out there. I don't mind sourced DE references, but I'm not sure how notable the names of her parents are considering they are characters never referenced in any novel (I'd prefer biographical info that somehow ties into people, places and things already written about in the series). Hi TAnthony, I got your message and replied on my user talk page re the citations. I've removed the flag from most but have left it for the direct quotations which IMHO do still need a citation since it's standard practice to do so. Re use of the DE: well, it's a novel in its own right really (it's written within the setting, from the perspective of characters within that setting), so it's only as valid a source as the BH/KJA prequels and the FH originals. I've no bias towards the use of any material, provided the range is covered and it adds to the article rather than removes. Coldmachine^Talk 20:30, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
