Pictures[edit]

I can post scans of some media such as the programme pakages, volunteer tag, information tag, weekend otaku tag. I just don't know how to post pictures and i don't want to spam these pictures either.

How can I put pictures on my pages?[edit]

First, you need the right to publish the picture under the GNU Free Documentation License. This means that either you created the picture and therefore own the copyright, or it is in the public domain. If the picture is located on a server you control, you can refer to that image from your wiki page by simply including its URL, like this:
http://my.webserver.com/image.png
and it will be included. (Note it will only be linked, not displayed.) If instead you want to upload a picture to wikipedia.org, you can use special:upload as a logged-in user and once it is uploaded, you can refer to it in your wiki pages as above, by including its file name :[[image:NameOfImage.png|Alternate Text]].
See also Image use policy.

From reading the above, I am not sure if you violate the copyright by scanning and posting or not. Anyone?

copyright =[edit]

The images and badges that the convention uses are copyright protected. But if you're looking for something to post to add to the article, you can always contact us for permission or . The staff who made up the badges do have electronic copies. There should also be images of the winning artwork that we used on the T-shirts etc., depending how how big an gallery of pictures your looking at.

Thanks for stopping by. The con’s logo can probably be used under Fair Use, actually. We wouldn’t need explicit permission for that (see WP:LOGOS). I’m not an expert about licencing, but I guess we’d all be happier if we did it with permission rather than under Fair Use.
Apart from the logo, I think the next most appropriate kind of images to put in the article would be of goings-on at the con itself. Anybody with a camera could take such pictures and release them under a free licence or to the public domain. I attended AN09 and might do so myself. I would definitely want to ask permission for a drawing of Momiji though. :) — NRen2k5(TALK), 06:41, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Laura Bailey[edit]

Apparently the person most associated with this name is a model, gonna go ahead and guess that we was looking for the voice actor who is associated with anime and videogames stuff and link it to her rather. Highlandlord 19:17, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other anime conventions in the GTA[edit]

Why does this section exist? The article is about Anime North specifically, not about anime conventions in Toronto. --coldacid (talk|contrib) 11:50, 8 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I see that nobody's bothered to explain this. In any case, that content would be best in a list article on events in Toronto rather than here in the Anime North one. If nobody appeals for the continued existence of the section, I will be bold and remove it on the weekend. // coldacid (talk|contrib) 16:38, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the more notable events over to annual events in Toronto and removed the section. // coldacid (talk|contrib) 21:55, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Jackson[edit]

Looking at the 2015 guest list, there is a link for Andrew Jackson, but it goes to the US president, who I am pretty sure did not attend an anime convention in 2015. Is there a wikipedia page for this specific actor, or should the link simply be removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.230.248.27 (talk) 16:43, 10 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
