Superfluous tag[edit]

I have removed the superfluous tag, which was included by one specific user who has a long history of edit-warring with me, as

  • several references are given within the text and additional material can be found in the bibliography,
  • there is objective evidence of the person's notability.

The subject has received significant attention from independent sources to support a claim of notability. The artist has received a significant award or honor, his work has been a substantial part of significant exhibitions, and he has won significant critical attention. Furthermore, according to Wikipedia's notability guidelines, sources are not required to be available online, and they are not required to be in English. To my mind, the frequent inclusion of superfluous tags in several articles written by me seems to be part of a harassment strategy by this specific user, which is dangerously close to cyberstalking. Rhine Crossing[edit]

It is just a minor point, but the rhine crossing on 20.10.1973 didn't end at the Academy, but -kind- inside the tavern "Ohme Jupp" nearby the Academy for a unofficial celebration of the 200th birthday of the Academy. There are some Ressources for this, e.g. a flyer for the "Aktion"/"Arbeitszeit" (app. "Happening") and STÜTTGEN, Johannes (2008): Der ganze Riemen. Der Auftritt von Joseph Beuys als Lehrer. Die Chronologie der Ereignisse an der Staatlichen Kunstakademie Düsseldorf 1966 – 1972. Köln: König, S. 1012. -- Dante aurelius (talk) 12:42, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this information. I have added a footnote referring to Stüttgen. Wikiwiserick (talk) 22:19, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You are very welcome! --Dante aurelius (talk) 10:11, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Joint "Happenings" of Beuys and Anatol[edit]

There are several Happenings ("Aktionen" or "Arbeitszeiten") by both, Anatol and Beuys (1967: Beuys made "Hauptstrom" at the Galerie Franz Dahlem in Damstadt and Anatol did "Aktion Goldene Säule" in the next room. Or the box fight at the Documenta 1972: Anatol was the referee), but I don't think that any of these were choreographied by Anatol. Beuys indeed was part of several of Anatols "Arbeitszeiten" - like the Rhine Crossing (Aktion "Das Blaue Wunder") in 1973, but Beuys always made his own "Happening" out of it. Best example is the "Drama Stahltisch" at the Creamcheese in 1968: Beuys stood alone in some corner performing his "Handaktion".

Although there is one "Happening" in which Beuys helped Anatol: On 11. June 1968 Anatol performed "Uterus in Stahl"/"Polizei studiert bei Professor Beuys" at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in which Anatol climbed into a small selfforged steel-sphere and rolled through the hallways of the academy. Beuys used Anatols "police signalling disc" hitting the sphere to acoustically guide Anatol through the corridors (Stüttgen, Der ganze Riemen 2008, S. 1021 and Buschmann, Renate: Chronik einer Nicht-Ausstellung: between (1969 - 73) in der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf; Berlin: Reimer, 2006, S. 72f). There also is an "Aktion" called "Wahl" from 1970, in which Beuys played a similar role, but that might just a small gimmik for the newspapers - and a "present" for Beuys birthday in 1972: Anatol forged a hook around Beuys arm.

Nevertheless I might be wrong with my (not so) strict statement. (-; It would be interesting to see whether Beuys did similar things with other of his students. -- Dante aurelius (talk) 21:23, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for this additional information. You seem to be well informed about Anatol and Beuys. Shouldn't this material be included in the article? Wikiwiserick (talk) 18:54, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
