America first[edit]

I moved the "conservative" label from "conservative isolationists of the America First" because America First wasn't just conservative. Here's an extract from its listing:

Other individuals associated with America First were novelist Sinclair Lewis, poet E. E. Cummings, author Gore Vidal (as a student at Phillips Exeter Academy), Alice Roosevelt Longworth, and actress Lillian Gish. Architect Frank Lloyd Wright attempted to join, but the board thought he had a "reputation for immorality".

Some of those names are far to the left. -- Randy2063 23:19, 4 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Add to that list Robert La Follette, Jr..nobs 00:16, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A NPOV would be great on this article, instead of the biased trash that exists now. Redflagflying 10:43, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why not write one? A user with the handle of 'Redflagflying' is sure to give us a balanced, accurate view of the subject, free of POV. Wikipedia needs YOU. 184.1.11.217 (talk) 18:13, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Like it or not, that's really the way it was. The Time magazine reference sums it up pretty well. They were just one of many instruments of a Soviet policy that went from ruthless to desperate and then back to ruthless again.
This article could be a lot more damning if we found a way to expand further on Stalin's aggression during that early period. Most people tend to forget about the Winter War.

tags[edit]

Tagged because this article is basically presenting only the views of the critics of this organization, with little in the way of information on the supporters. It is completely not neutral, has some partisan sources, and doesn't present all viewpoints.--Cerejota (talk) 00:43, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
