Proposed merge with Nova Scotia Paramedic Society[edit]

Merge proposed during AfD in 2013, but never enacted. Notability problems remain, merge seems best solution. Randykitty (talk) 13:39, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with a merger is that AOANS was a group of ambulance business owners and/or a lobby group in Nova Scotia. The NSPS is a historical and research group that promotes the study, research and communication of the history of emergency health services. We are more like the Medical History Society of Nova Scotia^[1] then it's counter part Doctors Nova Scotia^[2] There is also the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia^[3] that would be more like AOANS. I agree with JBignell. The Ambulance Operators Association was a group of business owners in past that ran ambulance services for profit. The Nova Scotia Paramedic Society is a current organization of practicing paramedics and physicians interested in patient care and research, not company owners interested in profit.
