Let us not over estimate[edit]

There are about 2,800 to 3,1100 spp of butterflies in the Amazon. the number of tree species is estimated between 6,000 and 8,000. This article lets enthusism for the subject inflate the numbers. Currently (2008) we have 14 species of invertebrates on the endangered species list for Pará state, Brazil.--Wloveral (talk) 00:48, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
