Atta's girlfriend?

This line has been deleted from the text:

Amanda Keller is also the name of the woman described as Mohamed Atta's girlfriend during the time he spent in Florida.

It was later replaced in the trivia section, and then deleted again. Journalist Daniel Hopsicker wrote about this and has interviewed her on camera. She later denied the story, but Hopsicker sticks to the original story. Whether or not the story is true, it is certainly notable, and some users will come to this page looking for the other Amanda Keller. Any suggestions about what should be done here? This is disputed and the dispute seems lgitimate; Hopsicker stands by the story. Here's what I wrote about it on the Atta page a year ago:

For what it's worth, Daniel Hopsicker doesn't believe Heather Allen's story, and he cites numerous sources for the claim that Atta and Keller lived together besides Keller herself. Hopsicker seems to think Keller was paid off or threatened to get her to change her story, and he notes ominously that the only source of info on the change is an FBI official who won't give his/her name. It's hard to sort out truth from fiction here; Keller was referred to in several reports after 9/11 (including in the herald trib) and Hopsicker's account is far more detailed than Allen's, but of course it is Allen's that has the backing of an actual newspaper. I've also watched the Keller interview and it is pretty detailed and elaborate (and apparently was cut from 3 or 4 hours of footage that Hopsicker has); it's hard to imagine why she would want to make all that stuff up.--csloat 22:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

I think it belongs on this page, since people looking for info about her will likely come to this page first. We should probably make a dab link and have a separate page for Atta's alleged girlfriend, citing both Hopsicker's book and the herald tribune story you linked. csloat 17:47, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

There should be a disambiguation page. I also believe that the Venice Florida Keller was pressured to recant her story.There is no way there could be a another man of a similar name that she said got angry, went to Key west hanging out out with other exotic characters, and came back to kill her cat and kittens in cold blood. Actually there should be a page for Hopsicker and his various theories if they are going to allow fringe theories such as 9/11 truth, Hopsicker seems to be onto something, but in this Orwellian world, of which wp is part, wild 9/11 truth theories are "verifiable", but interviews from first hand witnesses are not. Reporting on Charles and Diana's Wedding for the Midday show

"Her first professional media job was in 1983 as a researcher for the popular children's television show, Simon Townsend's Wonder World! After three months she accepted an offer on another children's television show, the short-lived Shower Time, hosted by "Uncle" Bert Newton. She later was a researcher and producer for Good Morning Australia when Gordon Elliott and Kerri-Anne Kennerly were hosts. By 1985 she was a researcher and producer for Ray Martin's Midday show where she first began to appear regularly on camera, reporting, among other things, on Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer's wedding".

Good News Week

Keller appeared on Good News Week on 13 September 2010, and claimed that the Wikipedia article about her contained several dubious facts such as that she went broke developing automatic teller machines for midgets. Her paternal grandfather, Juan Sánchez de Toledo, was a Marrano (Jewish convert to Christianity) and was condemned by the Spanish Inquisition for allegedly returning to the Jewish faith.

This article may benefit from this sentence being removed. I can find no reference to this paternity anywhere, and since her father has the name Arthur Keller, the likelihood that his father is Juan Sánchez de Toledo is questionable at best. The chronological leap is also puzzling, as the Spanish Inquisition was in the fifteenth century, this Juan Sánchez de Toledo must surely be a candidate for longest lifespan of any human.
