Untitled[edit]

We might be able to find a more appropriate pic than this one, perhaps something less "out there". But it's in the public domain, which is an advantage for now.Metamagician3000 12:01, 20 August 2006 (UTC) ==[reply]

Notability[edit]

This is about to change --- from the MSFC:

"Alison Goodman's book "The Two Pearls of Wisdom" is officially launched next week, and then Alison spends August and September doing promo around Australia. But we are first. Alison will be talking about her book this Friday at the MSFC, 9.00pm start. Copies will be available for sale and author signing.

"The Australian edition is the true first edition. The US edition, to be published in December, has just had its hardback print run expanded to 100,000 copies. German translation rights have sold for a six-figure sum. UK publication will be in two liveries, one for the adult audience and one for the teenage market, much like the Harry Potter novels.

...

"Alison Goodman won the Aurealis Award in 1998 for her novel Singing the Dogstar Blues ("an exhilarating novel that escapes the limitation of genre" - Bruce Gillespie, Australian Book Review). She has been shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award. The Two Pearls of Wisdom has federal Arts Council and Arts Victoria funding." Mfgreen (talk) 04:44, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
