What was Bridges’ “only other hit single,” that was remixed for Priscilla, Queen of the Desert? Felicity4711 06:02, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was a remix of “I Love the Nightlife.” I’ll reword the sentence so that it’s made clear. Rossrs 12:46, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :-) Felicity4711 13:18, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date[edit]

Was she not born 15 July 1948 ? As per - [1], [2], [3], etc.

Many other sites, like IMDB mentions the year of birth of 1953. As I think imdb is a better source than the three mentioned above, I have added a dubious-template. Lolsimon (talk) 11:07, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why?[edit]

"Although "I Love The Nightlife" was the most notable "hit" from the "Alicia Bridges" LP, it should be mentioned that "Broken Woman", a blues/rock song, is also a favorite of many of Alicia's fans."

Why should that be mentioned? 67.187.189, 20:48, 30 March 2007

Good question! Indeed, why? Pdfpdf (talk) 13:02, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One hit wonder?[edit]

Despite various statements made by various people, I can't find evidence of any "hits" by Bridges other than "I love the nightlife". Examples of statements:

  • "Alicia Bridges is a popular American Singer with several songs that charted in Europe and on the USA Billboard Charts"
    • What does "is a popular American Singer" mean? Popular with whom? When? For how long? What is the supporting evidence?
    • "with several songs that charted in Europe and on the USA Billboard Charts". Really? What were they? When did they chart? Where? At what positions? For how long?

In short, what EVIDENCE is there that she in NOT a "one hit wonder"? Pdfpdf (talk) 12:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

False claims for chart success[edit]

I corrected the claims her hit was 'a chart topper in France and Germany'. The German Wikipedia entry for Alicia Bridges shows it missed the German top 30 and the Wikipedia article on French singles chart toppers doesn't list this record. Vauxhall1964 (talk) 19:45, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
