Theodore Larsson[edit]

Larsson's parents were amongst the early members of the American Colony in Jerusalem. Arabic was his native language. I am about to re-read his "Seven Passports for Palestine". He spent half a day in al-Salihiyya on the suggestion of G.M. Crowfoot an expert on Palestinian textiles. His four page report gives details of the two types of looms used and includes three photographs. Padres Hana (talk) 21:26, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for you interesting find! (But I thought Larsson's were one of the Swedish families in the American Colony?)
Also; I´ve looked for the place in the 1922-census, but could not find it there. And I note that Khalidi hasn´t found it either. Cheers, Huldra (talk) 21:18, 17 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The only locations in the "panhandle" north of the northern shore of Hula in the 1922 census are Jahula, al-Buwayziyya and Malliha (is the last one in W/P?). Zerotalk 01:15, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot find a Malliha in the 1922 census? ...but there is a "Mallaha", p. 42 (under "Tribal areas", Safad), which I assume is Mallaha. Strangely enough, Khalidi, p. 472, seems to have missed it. Huldra (talk) 20:05, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is Mallaha. Spelling was never my strong point. Zerotalk 00:43, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
