Npov[edit]

This is a very badly written article with little sourced material and lots of point of view pushing. 109.155.46.225 (talk) 08:30, 25 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I've cut it back to a neutral stub. --McGeddon (talk) 15:52, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Spam[edit]

As a long time user of Wikipedia I want to let people know if the issues I have had just trying revert an article back to its original content as I genuinely found it useful but one moderator by the name of GraemeL did not seem to care at all and appears to have an agenda of his own. I am not affiliated with any of the companies that he removed and was only attempting to put them back as they were genuinely useful. Here is the transcript of the conversation, you will see he completely ignored my messages. Please do have a look at the revisions and if you feel they are useful please also reinstate them.

October 2013[edit]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Adult dating site. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. GraemeL (talk) 19:18, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am actually reverting it back to the original content NOT adding any promotional material as I found the links quite helpful, I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned. Stop your Gestapo crap now!!!! Or you will be reported for abuse!!

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GraemeL (talk) 19:43, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I will be reporting GraemeL for abuse, as it is believed he is removing helpful information from this article for his own benefit (believed to be affiliated with an adult dating site) in order not to send traffic to competing site. All sites mentioned in this article are mentioned because the cited sources such as the Telegraph are talking about these sites in particular. There is a valid reason for these to be here so please leave them alone. The article was originally written with them in. I am not affiliated with these companies but found these links very helpful when producing my documentary. It is self righteous moderators like you that make Wikipedia an awful resource at time due to over eagerness to remove any link. Disgusting!!

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Adult dating site, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. SPAM[edit]

This is a well known Black-Hat SEO tactics making sh!tty wikipedia articles and then sending links to Sh!ttier websites. The websites I removed were obvious spam websites.

Even POF/adultdating is a spammy website, Its promoting other fake adult dating websites such as Adultfriendfinder and Ashleymaddison. Ashleymadison is one of biggest adult dating websites and its in fact a fake website with fake users. check this article from telegraph.

Its better to not have any link to any specific adult dating website because, 99.99% its an advertisement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.71.74.109 (talk) 15:49, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

None of the cited sources (only one of which is a reliable source) support notability for this topic. I'm redirecting it to Online dating#Niche dating sites where I've added a single sentence defining it with a reliable source. The target article already discusses the Ashley Madison controversy and there is nothing else of value in this article to retain. This is an alternative to deletion.
