Morganatic wife[edit]

Who was AF's wife? What was her name and what title did she have, if any? Charles 00:47, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Erbprinz[edit]

Was the official title of the subject of this article prior to his grandfather's death "Erbprinz von Mecklenburg-Strelitz"? I know the heir-apparent used Erbgroßherzog, but I've never seen this form (distinguished from the junior members) for the heir-apparent of the heir-apparent before; of course, there's a high chance it's just me, uninformed as usual. Though the Gotha calls him Erbprinz, it is possibly just indicating that he was to become Grand Duke one day, rather than indicating his proper style at the time of his birth. Was this form used by anyone else, Mecklenburg or otherwise? Or was it established in the Congress of Vienna with all the other details? GiovanniCarestini (talk) 22:38, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was the title of the eldest son of the reigning Duke until 1815 and then the grandson of the Grand Duke after 1815. - dwc lr (talk) 22:45, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Could I ask you for the source? 74.12.100.150 (talk) 04:26, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Suicide - how?[edit]

Has any published information stated how he committed suicide? This is conspicuous lacking from the account. A person who would have had court doctors and lived in a state with an organised death registration system would surely have left some record?Cloptonson (talk) 15:47, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
