Wounded[edit]

The article claimed that he "was wounded again on 4 September 1916". This isn't mentioned on his biography on the French Parliament website, which mentions two other woundings, so have removed it for the time being. Feel free to restore if a cite can be found.Paulturtle (talk) 12:39, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bulgarians and red trousers[edit]

The First Balkan War actually took place later in 1912, after the end of his first tenure as Minister of War. So if anyone knows the exact chronology of his visit to the Bulgarian Army and his opposition to the retention of the pantalon rouge, feel free to add.Paulturtle (talk) 14:29, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Heavy Reliance on Single Source[edit]

The article, especially in the wartime war minister section, relies heavily (often exclusively) on Barbara Tuchman's The Guns of August. While a great and fascinating read, her book is largely regurgitated here as a single source. It's even cited in other paragraphs (such as his wartime army action) for irrelevant or redundant information. I just get the feeling that an overzealous Wikipedia enthusiast read the book and wrote a corresponding book report for some reason. Great Article[edit]
