Untitled[edit]

Acepromazine used as aid in peripheral dilation in horses with laminitis and founder. Is there any information concerning this use?

Use of Ace. in Sighthounds.[edit]

Original definition cautions not to use in sighthounds, however this drug is quite often used in at least greyhounds for anxiety, such as storm phobia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.221.12.107 (talk) 22:05, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Information on use in felines[edit]

Any vets out there have dosing information for felines? Not only do I want this information for myself (to verify what my vet is telling me) but it seems odd that the wiki article has equine and canine specific information but not feline.Kostia (talk) 19:28, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

According to the study linked, acepromazine is not effective in lowering shedding. Not sure why it says it's used in the article. Andyman1125 ([[User talk:andyman1125|talk)) 14:21, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am a veterinary technology student at Murray State. I have not entered the feild as of yet, but will be doing my preceptorship this summer. One of my Instructors, Dr. Carey Floyd, has asked our class to look up as much information on acepromazine. One of her questions is, "What color is acepromazine in it's liquid form?". Does anyone here know the answer? clear yellow liquid, refer to dolad Plumb's Veterinary Drug Handbook for further information. Patthevet 14:43, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
