Unified biography page?[edit]

The Prairie Years won't get its own page (and it probably shouldn't unless some amazing history behind its genesis gets uncovered), but it seems to me to make more sense to put the entire bio into a single unified page, with The War Years as a section, even though it's certainly the main event. On the other hand, I can't find if the bio was ever marketed or available as a single "Abraham Lincoln in 6 vols by Carl Sandburg". Of modern reprints, there's 1974 Abraham Lincoln: The Prairie Years and The War Years ISBN 978-0156026116 and 1926 Abraham Lincoln: ... (New York: Harcourt, Brace & Company) which has the same binding style on all 6 volumes but I can't find if it was marketed and/or sold under a unified title. So a unified page would have to have a hybrid title that may or may not represent how the full series was marketed in Sandburg's lifetime (and we really should find this out). That's not in itself disqualifying -- plenty of pages do this, and redirects are low-overhead that show up in searches.

My opinion is that a unified page would be the logical place a reader would think that what could be thought of as a multivolume two-part book series would be located, and it also places a small section for The Prairie Years that invites future editors to expand it, rather than leaving it to the more intimidating commitment of an uncreated page. I ask for others' input. SamuelRiv (talk) 13:33, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
