Abbreviations for Greek patristic authors and texts[edit]

If it's not outside the scope of the article, it should be mentioned that A Patristic Greek Lexicon by G. W. H. Lampe is the common system for referring to Greek patristic authors and texts. (They are intentionally left out of LSJ.) But then it should also be mentioned that, as with LSJ, DGE supersedes Lampe with more extensive and up-to-date lists. Abbreviations in Brill's New Pauly (or Der Neue Pauly)[edit]

If the abbreviation system in Brill's New Pauly[1] (or Der Neue Pauly[2]) are common enough (I'm not in a position to say), they should also be mentioned. Sitacuissem (talk) 14:34, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
