Expert needed: Relevance to women's history[edit]

As a nonspecialist, I assume this was tagged with the WikiProject Women's History banner because of the abbess's power, but it would be handy if someone who knows Spanish women's history could clarify it. ---Shane Landrum (cliotropic | talk | contribs) 01:02, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While I am not specialist in women's history, the evidence for the musical accomplishments of the nuns is also worth mentioning. (I share Cliotropic's assumption regarding the main reason for the women's history tag). --Thoughtfortheday (talk) 09:25, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I found a couple of additional sources (by researchers who are experts on Women's History) on how this community was close to the royal family and sponsored by them. Based on this, I went ahead and removed the banner from the page, which is not to say that more work would be unwelcome. 1bandsaw (talk) 23:34, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Date of election as Abbess General[edit]

According to the article, the Abbess of this monastery was elected as Abbess General of the Cistercian congregation of which the monastery was a member. The date given for this is 1189. Yet the date given when the community was accepted into the Cistercian Order ten years later is 1199. Can anyone clarify this?
