My theory...[edit]
Not been able to find much on this group, it's been stated they are a rock group, but the band's individuals names don't really appear anywhere else.
I have added some very small detail on the discography of the A&M act and a couple of Billboard references.
While not having full proof of this, but I believe this was really a producer project for Ted Cooper involving various music industry colleagues such as Sly Stone, Eric Siday and Arthur Miller, who I understand all worked with Ted prior. I believe it is safe to assume the Sly and the Family Stone band were involved in the track "Life & Death" as this was included in a Sly/Family Stone associated acts CD compilation Listen To The Voices: Sly Stone In The Studio 1965-70, a cover version done by Joe Hicks is also on the compilation, and apparently he was the original vocalist on the Abaco version.
Sly was still signed to Epic Records in 1969 and either wanted to release additional product or was assisting Ted in his project - due to Abaco Dream being under A&M Records Sly almost certainly would not have been allowed to release "Life & Death" under his band name in any case, although he got writing credit. Ted was A&R for Epic previously.
"Catwoman" with writing credited to Eric Siday, is much more electronic sounding than the A side, and would be unusual if it was Sly. It is very reminiscent of Eric's production style. There is also a cockney accent within the song, as Eric was British this would tie in.
