Grand Slam record[edit]

The intro section mentions that Krickstein "competed on the ATP Tour from 1983 to 1996, winning five grand slam singles events". The latter is demonstrably false, as witnessed by the infobox itself (two semis, but no wins), and as can be seen in one of the quoted sources (http://www.itftennis.com/mens/players/player.asp?player=10000733). The source for the claim is apparently "The Big Book of Jewish Sports Heros; An Illustrated Compendium of Sports History and The 150 Greatest Jewish Sports Stars.", which indeed mentions this track record; however, this is incorrect. The claimed wins were:

Wimbledon '85; actual winner: Boris Becker
Roland Garros '88 and '95; actual winners Mats Wilander and Thomas Muster
US Open '94; actual winner: Andre Agassi
Australian Open '95; actual winner also Andre Agassi.

I've removed the offending passage.

Also, the article mentions that "Krickstein set and still holds ATP records for being the youngest player ever to win a singles title on the ATP Tour (at age 16, 2 months after his 16th birthday, in Tel Aviv), and for being the youngest player to ever break the top 10 (at age 17)." At least the former claim is incorrect: Rafael Nadal beat Ramon Delgado in April 2002, at 15 years and 10 months. Krickstein won a professional tennis TITLE when he was 16 years 2 months, Nadal only won an individual professional tennis MATCH when he was 15. The ATP website actually shows that Nadal had won a professional match the previous season before he beat Delgado but he didn't win his first title until he was 18 years old.

Regardless, since titles are different from matches, I don't see any justification for removing the "still holds" from that sentence. I've looked at the ATP site (www.atptennis.com) and Michael Chang won a professional title at 16 years 7 months and Leyton Hewitt won one at 16 years 10 months after Krickstein won his first title but I don't see any other younger title winners after Krickstein's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.85.215.91 (talk) 22:43, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
