Not so hard?[edit]

This story is given as an example of "Hard Science Fiction", but I find a small flaw in the story according to the plot summary...

(diameter of the moon * pi) / (29.5 hours) = 102.791018 m / s

which is hardly a walking pace... is this really an example of "Foam Science Fiction"?

Trish didn't have to walk all the way around the Moon in 29.5 hours, but in approximately 29.5 Earth days, so her average speed had to be only a 24th of that, i.e. about 4.28 m/s. Splibubay (talk) 10:41, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
