I propose merging Dictionary of Canadianisms on Historical Principles 2 (DCHP-2) into Dictionary of Canadianisms on Historical Principles (DHCP-1, this article). These are closely related subjects. DCHP-2 is basically an expanded, online version of DHCP-1. Both can easily be covered in the same article.

DHCP-1was a 1967 book that was never updated by its publisher. When the publisher changed hands the new publisher started a project to release a new edition (~40 years after the original publication. There is an unsourced claim that the exercise eventually became a solely academic project. The DCHP-1 was first put online, and was then expanded and put online by the same group as the DHCP-2 (no paper version was published). Both online editions are hosted on the same site http://www.dchp.ca/ ; however, as of 4 May 2021 the software is being upgraded and both editions are available only as static screenshots.

Note that there was extensive COI editing of these articles. Meters (talk) 20:31, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

18 days with no comments... I'll wait a few more days and if there are no objections I'll implement this as "unopposed" Meters (talk) 08:07, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've pinged WikiProject Canada with a neutral notice [1] Meters (talk) 22:38, 30 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Merging sounds good to me. The follow-up doesn't seem independently notable. —Joeyconnick (talk) 19:53, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support merging. DHCP-2 doesn't seem notable independently from DHCP-1. --Aknell4 (talk · contribs) 23:39, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I support merging. I had thought of this myself but I am not an experienced Wikipedia editor and was not quite sure how to do it. Room for one more (talk) 03:14, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This page is not widely watched so I gave this lots of time, but after six weeks and no opposition I'm going to implement this. Thanks all. Meters (talk) 03:40, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
