When Jimmy Kimmel took over the orchestra...[edit]

...during the segment in which he was trying to "play" Matt Damon off with music, was that considered—for the purposes of listing people under the Performers table—a performance or a "gag?" It should, in my opinion, be considered a performance, meaning that Kimmel should be listed under Performers. Just because he was host doesn't mean that the host doesn't also do performances during Oscar ceremonies. Billy Crystal always performed the opening number every time he hosted, and those performances always got Crystal listed in the Performers table. Even Seth MacFarlane is listed as a performer for the songs that he sang when he hosted, despite the fact that those performances were done just for laughs. Thus, the Performers table should list Kimmel as well. Thoughts? Greggens (talk) 23:55, 14 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal and MacFarlane performed big song and dance numbers.. thats far different from a one off gag appearance... he didnt conduct an entire song of the orchestra... he didnt really perform anything.. he was just there for a sight gag.. considering that a separate "performance" from his hosting gig is really silly. Affleck ignored in the side photos?[edit]

I'm guessing since because someone decided Casey Affleck wasn't worthy of having his picture shown alongside Emma Stone, Mahershala Ali, and Viola Davis, his photo is noticeably missing in the photos alongside the winners' chart that shows some of the notable winners of the night.

This seems very petty and biased to take away his photo, in a sense trying to discredit his win, just because he was involved in a lot of sexual assault claims. I haven't monitored the pages for the years Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen, or Roman Polanski won (and would have the right to have their photos displayed), but if their photos are still up on those pages, it really doesn't make sense to me that Casey's photo here should be noticeably absent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:5800:27E0:41CD:2A5E:514D:B9EA (talk) 01:02, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
