Article seems to get smaller over time[edit]

Untitled[edit]

I noticed that the older pre 2015 versions of this page had more information on the 503rd, but as time goes on, with each revision, less and less information is available. What's going on here? AlternateWars (talk) 23:39, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tiger I at Bovington[edit]

That one is from sPzAbt 504, and was captured in Tunisia in 1943. See here. The Wiki page on the Tiger II B says that the Bovington Tiger II never saw action, so that can't have been the one with 503rd either. Andreas 13:22, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any real source for unit combat performance?[edit]

Let's check this sentence: From January 24 to February 21, 1944, the regiment claimed about 500 soviet tanks and assault guns destroyed for only nine combat losses. It seem to me they could claim 10 milion destroyed enemy tanks. But all this "claims" are basicly war propaganda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.137.156.198 (talk) 21:11, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This question is I think sufficiently well answered in the article. In any event Germany sources are actually fairly reliable about most things, from combat losses and successes to deaths in concentration camps.Royalcourtier (talk) 02:39, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
