Listing African Union representative[edit]

How should we do this? The African Union is now an official member, but the President of the African Union is also attending in his capacity as his country's head of government. So he is representing both his own country and the African Union. The dog2 (talk) 21:29, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@TheFrenchKing: I've been trying to start this discussion here but have always been ignored so far. I hope you can place your input here, but my point is, the African Union is different from the European Union. The European Union representatives are separate offices who are not allowed to concurrently hold office in their respective countries' government. On the other hand, the Chairperson of the African Union is always the head of government of an African country, and the position rotates between countries every year. So he is invited because he is the Chairperson of the African Union, but he is also his country's president, so he is attending while concurrently holding both offices.
